I'm really delighted about the practicality and indeed have been feeling many positive changes over the past months.
I just wonder about other more unpleasant/unusual changes such as feeling lightheaded (gone with the fairies :-), forgetting things easily, seeking for words/expressions often and making mistakes in writing as if memory and speech have been quite impacted.
For the time being I trust it is more or less a "normal" state of transition to finally come to a certain balance, and also do some additional brain gym. If there is pruning there will be new synapses building I guess, won't they?
Does anyone observe similar changes ?
Hi Kirsty - just curious ....is it one (or all) of the breathing exercises that make you feel spaced out? I know that I, personally, have been through many changes as I continue to practice the breathing exercises and with my meditations. There are periods of time when my meditation practice will deepen. During those times, I have experienced coming back to awareness from my meditation and I don't know where I am or even who I am (just for a moment!). But I also sometimes, just experience the meditation as not that deep, just a brief rest in the course of my day. And I also go in and out of periods of time when words and memory are very different. I find that if I don't judge it or get too hung up on the 'search' for the word or my cellphone, it passes and I return to what I consider a normal state of mind. I do think that shifting from being heavily left brain (logic and intellect) to being more balance left/right sets up a very different kind of operating system in the brain. Peace and Blessings!
